its showing up in my box for 'sent messages'.

Will it have got sent to the intended recipient?

yes that is why it says "sent" hun - to say it has been sent successfully.

Did you tick the box to save it in your sent messages? It doesn't do it automatically, you have to "ask" it to.

I have noticed that I don't always get the little flashing red and white message alert even though there is new mail in my in box.
