My two horses are a nightmare if they go to a show together. They live in seperate fields and each has a friend at home but when out together on a hack or show they go mad if seperated.
I rarely take them together but would like to.

Any ideas

Can you take them out on hacks and then gradually separate them? Let first horse disappear and then catch them back up again a couple of minutes late so that they learn that nothing awful happens and then gradually build up the time that they can stand being separated for.

We'll try that they rarely go for hacks together and we will have to choose somewhere safe as they both really panic. They are both really well school and get 70% plus in dressage but if they go together they would get 20%
I'm not kidding

I have the same problem with my mare and gelding who live together. I have to take them to different events, and its a PITA. So, if you solve it, let me know!
My mare gets hooked to whoever she has travelled with, so its alone or I have to walk her around miles away while other one is donig anything - boring!
