i bought this horse sergio or so we were told he was called..(now renamed marley by me he is the one in my siggy) from a dealer paul clarke in peterborough. i know nothing about his past and his passport is suspect as it was issued the day before he was delievered to me but the identification pages dates from 2007 suggesting he has another passport.

he is connemara x cob (i believe welsh d) 15.2, around 10 years old maybe (between 10 and 12 according to teeth, sold to me as a 6/7 yr old)??. chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. he has a very distinctive black spot in the centre of his upper lip, white spot on his withers, blaze and a white sock on left fore.

PLEASE if ayone knows aything previous owners or otherwise please contact me feel free to PM if you prefer

many thnks naomi xxx

yeah thats his 'new' passport and yeah thats all the information given and he was sold to me as a six year old and i know nothings about his past which is making things quite difficult to progress with him

i know its a nightmare re passporting. authorities just dont check properly

Take the matter to your Trading Standards at your Council
You were sold a horse not fitting the description
Horse Passports come under Trading Standards--yours is not correct
You probably need someone professional to 'age' your horse eg vet or equine dentist

This whole passport thing--some traders are just making a mockery of it.

I used to have my horse in livery at Paul's yard. i actually only kept him there for 5 months...Paul was the nastiest person i've ever come across. But i did know your horse as Sergio and i rode him when there was no one else! It's lovely to see him again and to know that he's gone to a good home! Paul seemed to have him for a while and he was rarely ridden, only very occasionally before a viewing so i don't know anything about his previous owners i'm afraid.
Alot of people have had problems with this yard and their horses so i would just dig deep. Hope you've had some success
