I know I keep saying it
but Amy is just abso-bl**dy-lutely amazing, and I cannot believe it
I took the dogs for a run out in the paddocks tonight after work, and they all went mad chasing each other around in huge circuits - even Islay joined in
Then Amy saw the young stock in the next but one paddock - five yearlings who live out - and took off in their direction
I was abolutely petrified, Flick and Islay were in hot pursuit, and I could well imagine what would happen when 3 greyhounds met five young horses.....
And then I called Amy (once I had remembered the right name of course
) - and she turned straight back and came belting up to me
I had my first whippet when I was 17, so thats 23 years ago now, and I have never ever had a whippet/greyhound/lurcher which I could call off once it was in pursuit
Cayla is an exceptional dog trainer, and if I could bear to be parted from them Islay and Flick would be straight up to her to learn recall skills
Just to make you blush a bit ya know Cayla
