Serpentine in 20 x 60m arena

Hi all,

So I'm trying to design a floorpan for a freestyle test in a long arena. What would be the best type of serpentine to do starting at C, (right rein) that finishes on the left rein at A? I can't figure out how many loops because I keep ending up on different reins everytime I draw it out! Monday morning slowness I think. Thanks! :D
 
You want 4 loops to change the rein, 2 in each half of the arena, if you think it is Monday that is causing you problems try again it is Tuesday!!!!
 
Ha oh god, it is and all! Bank holiday yesterday so in only back in work today! ok cool so the third loop would start at B?

Even numbers of loop change rein, odd ones don't. So your choices are 4 (15m/loop in a 60m) or 6 (10m/loop, which is rather tight and might drive you loopy!). Assuming 4 loops, your first loop touches the wall at 1.5m past M, crosses the arena 3m before the R/S line; second loop touches wall 4.5m beyond S, crosses the arena on E/B line; third loop touches the wall 4.5m before P, crosses the arena 3m past P/V line; and last loop touches the wall 1.5m before K. I know going through the maths doesn't help everyone, but I like them! :D
 
Ah cheers thanks all! Oh golly the maths side of it is a bit much for me today, Maybe il whip out this thread later when I'm going through it in the arena! Which will most likely be a disaster because I've only access to a 55m by 25m so my music might sound a bit out of time! ��
