I was going to take my clippers to be serviced the other day because they are getting really hot after a while. They are about 10 years old now but were really expensive liveryman mustangs that mum bought when she had a yard full and was clipping every day.
Dad suggested it be a waste of money because what can they actually service? Anybody know if servicing actually...works?

I've just sent mine away to be done...so I hope it does! For £35 I'd hope they'd do something

They'll open it up, clean everything, replace bushes etc..... of course they can service it & you'll be surprised how it will be when you get it back.

oh services mine, takes them to pieces, re greases everything uses a little brush and cleans all the hair out and then puts them back together again, if i ever had a real problem would send them away to be done but mine are 10 year old woolseys and work great after he has done them.

Oooh I will keep an eye on you post because I need to send mine away but was going to send them to clipper sharp in devon Cause thats where I send my blades to be sharpened. They always return them quite quickly.
