Servicing clippers?

Does anyone actually know what is done to the clippers when they are serviced? Are they just taken apart and cleaned/ oiled? I am training to be an engineer so was just wondering if I could do it myself instead of paying someone else!!

I assume this plus electrical testing and certain parts may be replaced as standard - I know Lister replace the comb pegs during a service which was handy for me as one of mine popped out during my last clip of last year and I spent the last half of the clip hammering it back in with the back of a brush every five minutes (not recommended practice )
