Hello everyone!
My young TB was recently diagnosed with Sesamoiditis in his left front. He also presented with disruption of the medial insertion of the palmar annular ligament. He was intermittently lame, then we week ago presented as very sore but since then has only been slightly lame.
He’s now starting rehab but I’d love to know people’s experiences and stories. I’m trying to keep positive about the potential to return to eventing in the future and any advice on rehab tips or treatments would be great.
My vet has mentioned that he may require a surgery to cut the ligament to give him the best chance.
I’m also thinking of taking him barefoot in front. I am planning to discuss with the vet on our next call, but has anyone else taking their horse barefoot for rehab for this type of injury?
Any advice and stories would be great thank you!
