My lad isn't settling too well in his new yard, he is very nervous. Is there anything I can do to help calm his nerves and settle him in?

He just seems generally very anxious. No naughty behaviour, no spooking etc, just very on edge, and genuinely scared. (normally a very laid back gelding) He is fine in the field, gets on very well with my mare, however when bought in he becomes scared. No signs of seperation anxiety, I sometimes bring her in, or have another horse tied up near him (though obv don't want to rely on having another horse there all the time, however want to make the situation nicer while he settles) but it doesn't tend to make a difference. I haven't had him too long, and from what I gather he hasn't been in the country too long, so I understand how unsettled he must be feeling. I wouldn't have moved yards so soon in ownership however this new yard was to benefit him re turnout and his mud fever. I would just like the experience to become nicer for him! (Tied up with haynet, don't always just bring him in to ride, bring him in just for a pampering, etc-don't want him to associate coming in to equal work)
-Just to add, he lives out.
