anyone got any advice what to do to settle my horse into his new yard he moved yesterday and i know its going t take time but he is really stressed i upped his calmer before the move hoping that would help but it hasnt he can start going out during day tomorrow during the day hoping that will help i thought he was going to jump out of stable today help needed by very stressed mum

I know its a difficult time, both for your horse and you - my daughter's new horse has been with us for just a week, and he is gradually getting used to everything being new.

Having you around, who he knows and trusts will help enormously, but also having some turn out/exercise will take the edge off, and a daily routine will help him settle too.

Good luck, I am sure he will be much more settled soon. :)

Turnout will be a big help for him I'm sure. Our lot live out and have never had a problem with a new horse or moving to a new place. Out in the field, quick trot around to check out new place and head down to graze. I hope he settles down soon. Try and stay as chilled as possible yourselves (easier said than done I know!) as if you're feeling tense about it all he's bound to pick it up which won't help.

Ive got this to come next weekend and i'm dreading it. She's been at current yard for over half of her life and she loves it, queen of the field etc but i'm going to murder someone if I don't move. Got the vet fri to give her her jabs so may ask him if he can recommend anything. I'm sure she'll be fine - maybe I need some calmer ?
