Due to air traffic control computer problems flights out of the following bases are affected by cancellations or severe delays.
Luton
Stansted
London City
Gatwick
Heathrow
it also appears that Cardiff and Manchester are also having problems.
Luton has cancelled ALL outgoing flights this evening but is allowing already airborne flights to land.
Passengers / families expecting people are advised to call the airlines in question.
BA are operating all long haul services but has said that domestic and european routes will be affected.
