Have just looked on the ffe website for you.
I think he is a chestnut of 15 years, cant see a comp record, but has plenty of relations.
PM me if you would like.

yes we have one out of a willows diamond mare, he is so cheeky likes to throw his feed dish about and anything else he can get hold of. can be spooky finds show jumping easy hope to event him this year. He's a big horse though.

Hahah thats hilarious! my guy does that 2- i had to buy a bucket and tie it to the wall because he just kept tossing it everywhere! he is really cheeky but is so so sweet. my guy is 9 and hes 16hh but feels much bigger when your on.

ours is only 6 done nothing except sj over this winter, he's been sent to us from ireland to sell, owner wants us to buy half share but a] too expensive b] too big really more of a man's horse. he's a bit mouthy but our trainer said sf tend to be like that?

one of ours has a lovely mouth, the other hates any form of jointed bit - loves his pelham but really gobby in a french link

ours are big - 17.2 - but don't ride it - they're very manoueverable (if there's such a word!)

yeah they do go for a lot of money! one i saw at goresbridge in sept went for 13,000 e as a 3yr old. he was the spitting image of my guys- me and my dad were totally in love with him he was fab so made a good price!
yes i agree- mine is quite mouthy too. he came in a dutch gad-a jointed one.his mouth was totally dry so i stitched to a straight happy mouth- no good. he would just piss off with me all the time - mouth at all. so started to use a rubber snaffle, used mints to help him and its worked wonders.we have now after 3 months of that swapped to a rubber covered straight pelham and he loves it. really respectful and can actually feel it in his mouth, but is still working from behind correctly and working lovely.just took a while. has to go back to basics a bit too with halting! he hadnt a clue!

thats funny isnt it- just swapped to a rubber covered pelham to have some more contol show jumping and the difference is amazing- he looks and performs amazingly compared to the gag and he obviously so much happier!
Its funny im getting all these posts and its amazing my horse seems to have so much in common with other H DU CAVELS offspring.

very interesting posts, i think i might suggest the pelham and the mints to my daughter see if it has similar effect. will keep u posted.

I have a 10 month old colt by harlequin du carel liver chesnut out of an ISH BY a Flagmount Diamonm mare.He is a big boy but as good as gold and very very clever he can open his stable door if the kick over is not closed.
My vet wants me to keep him as a Stalion as he is a real looker.
We think he will make 17 hands plus as he is a big 15-2 at present.
We hope to show jump or event him when he is older if we still have him as every body wants to buy him but he is not for sale.
I will buy again this year and it will again be a harlequin du carel foal.
