I've bought a shagya filly from the french stud farm "Haras des Griottes " in France. She is now in the UK. She is by Tatianus X Amica and should make between 15.3-16 Hands. What do you thing about her conformation and futur potentiel as a sport horse? I know she's still early to know but would like your opinion. As she is mine, I can't be objective

I love Shagyas, if I could afford it I would definitely have one. I understand they make excellent endurance horses.

The prices for a shagya is cheaper now starting from £2500 to £7000 for a yearling as you can see on the french shagya society: AFCAS

In France they are very often used for endurance and in Germany mostly in Eventing.

I had one - a ovely grey mare. I have pics on her, but no idea how to get pics on here, could anyone tell me how? I did a bit of showjumping on her but think she would have made a good eventer/dressage horse also.

We need Rollin! She's the big Shagya expert here...

But the filly looks super and I love that grey showjumper mare too!

Oh - Cruiseline has a really nice Shagya endurance mare - they do seem to excel in this field, but clearly in many others as well!
