Shaker Guard (Equine America)

I've started using the NAF stuff on my mild head shaker. I think it is helping but my god its expensive. Probably cheaper to shred five pound notes and feed them straight, but they might not be so effective LOL.

Well, being serious. Oskar headshakes out hacking, and will do so in the outdoor school if the flies are bad and I don't have him properly through and connected. The NAF stuff hasn't eliminated it hacking but it is much better, and he doesn't do it in the school at all (I can warm up on a long rein even when the midges are out). So it does do something.

Global Herbs 'shake free' was the best thing we found for controlling Ferdie's head-shaking. He was not just a mild headshaker, but practically un-rideable when he was bad. We also eliminated various parts of his diet to see if it made a difference - bizarrely it seemed that liquid cortaflex could trigger the shaking - so he had to go without his joint supplement
