My friend has a 16.2 TBXID 7 yr old. He's a real sweetie and has a lovely jump. However has a strange habit/tick, he shakes his head...not like a a big shake but his head shivers (if that makes sense!)...I think he tends to do it more at competition e.g. we went XC on sunday and he stood waiting for his turn with his head shaking/wobbling. He jumps very nicely and is a real little power-house and has the ability to do BE. He is quite clumsey though and trips, stands on his feet, pulls he shoes out and cuts himself frequently. We joke about his little head shaking habit but i've always wondered if there might be more to it?

Anyone have any thoughts/ideas?

I am not sure - however I know my old horse used to do this at XC or if he was hunting.
Just because his brain could not cope with everything going on!

He also used to do it in the start box quite a lot - I think it may be the same sort of thing that my horse had which was everything going on to many things to look O MY GOD!

just keep an eye on it - if he has only just started doing it then keep an eye on him to see if gets worse.
