I have brought my horse in from the field to ride two days running and he has been ever so slighlty shaking, the first day i put it down to being cold so put an extra rug on him. but when i got him in last night he was still, its ever so slight and u have to look closely seems to be all over. i still rode him and seemed fine afterwards, any got any advice or help?

Is he nervous, does he antici[ate being ridden? Is he in any pain anywhere especially on his back. Try and get him to put his head between his front legs with a carrot or something, if he can't do this perhaps he has a nerve trapped in his neck or back. We had a horse once who slipped over in the field and came in shaking, we tried everything. We eventually had a chiropracter out and she found he had trapped an important nerve at the base of his neck, she did some exercises with him, and twisted his head around to girth and lots of stuff, then all of a sudden it must have been freed and he stopped shaking and was completely back to normal. Just a thought.
Also cereal intolerance can cause this so it may be worth just feeding the horse hay and chaff for a little while?
