Shall I get the flu jab done to sell?

Hi, I'm going to sell my boy as I'm having a baby and I want him to have a more exciting life!
Anyway he's always had flu and tet done but last year I didn't get his flu done as he's just at home.
Will it make it easier to sell him if he has both? I'm trying to be careful with money but I already have the vet coming out Tuesday and in a months time to do my youngsters tetnus injections.
Also does anyone know how much extra it will cost me to have his flu done?

I don't think it will make any difference to a buyer. No-one I know would turn down a good horse because its flu jab was out of date. I'd save your money personally.
 
Obviously I prefer that a purchase is fully UTD with vaccinations and its a pain when they arent and I have to wangle them into my vaccination programme, but it wouldnt make me not purchase a horse if they werent vaccinated already.
 
No I wouldn't do it, won't make any difference to a sell or not and tbh all mine are vacs but every horse iv brought isn't so there's a lot off horses which isn't done and if the new owners don't keep it up to date, will be a complete waste

Its the following two that I find a pain. Honestly, you should see my wall planner, its like a military campaign trying to fit new horses into sequence with the fewest amount of callouts so they end up in an annual vaccination group :D
 
Thanks for your replies, il save my money then. It's bad enough my two year old I've recently bought ( before I fell pregnant!) didn't have any jabs done, so he's having his tetnus started.
 
No I wouldnt bother, its nice to know they are ok having jabs done ie dont need sedation etc but it wouldnt put me off buying a horse. In fact if an owner agreed at the vetting I would probably pay to get it done there and then and see if horse is ok with jabs/vet and being fiddled around etc etc!?!

Good luck though with the selling.
