Hi everyone!!! Sorry, but i have to get this off my chest!!!
Today out hacking with my husband and son, i had a misfortune to come off my horse on canter.Said horse happily ******ed off ,leaving me standing and moaning. My hubby went to chase him(dont know, was it a good idea or not,but i was shouting my head off"Go and get him,go and get him!!"),and our sons welsh A galloped farting and bucking happily behind them before i could catch him. As a result my little son came off... So,what we have in the result-two moaning crying persons on the foot, two horses ******ing off in the distance, and my hubby on his heavyweight Teddy trying to catch them!!!
Fast forward(15 min or so), i finally get a phone call-he got them!!!Waiting for us in the entrance of the local equestrian venue, what had competition at that time,so full of riders and supporters.
NOT ONE PERSON CAME TO ASK IF HE WAS OK!!!!
I mean you would think a person who just caught two horses on the main road, all sweaty and panting will definitely catch your attention, but no...No one even bothered to come and see if they are ok.
Rant over.

Many many thanks to all the drivers who stopped ,while my twosome were
happily trotting down the main road!!!
Many many thanks to the nice lady who gave me and my son a lift from the common!
Many thanks to you for reading so far!

I am so glad you and the horses are all ok - but yes i have been astounded when someone has parted company with their horse and you have risked life and limb to catch said horse, remove the slipped saddle that is causing a trauma to the poor animal, and you start to walk him round .... and then the ungrateful pratt that fell off comes stoming over - yanks said horse in the mouth, and proceeds to give it a belting and all of this without saying a thank you ! and that was at a show too !

have a glass of wine !

Things just ain't what they used to be... *shakes head*

I am so glad you and your family are ok and the horses are safe. That could have had a very different ending... you must be in shock still.

Sadly it takes all kinds to make the world go around, glad you and horses and son are okay, not sure why you fell off but try have a rethink to avoid it again, grip with those knees my father used to say, lol.

Glad it all ended ok!!
I too was witness to some incredible bad manners last weekend, whilst riding across a small common, I heard a commotion and three women proceeded to gallop round the corner at the top of the common. They could quite clearly see me, had hi-vis on plus white grey horse, but they then turned tail and galloped off in the other direction. I wasn't too sure how my horse would react, having not encountered this situation before (she's still young) so it was with some trepidation that I turned the corner to see them coming galloping back towards me!! At this point, I shouted for them to please stop as I didn't want my horse joining them (bottomless mud everywhere) to which they huddled in a group and no doubt cussed me for ruining their fun (as they ruined their horse's tendons!)
Luckily, my horse was sensible and carried on without too much stress. I can't believe they didn't have the manners to walk when they saw me, rude people.

Erm..I was looking back at my son to see if he is OK(he is off the lead rein on the common),and Magic decided to play up and turn left,so i went right!:(
