I am trying to trace a mare I sold around ten years ago, to a lady called Jackie Hill, from Chelmsford Essex.
The photos I have of her are pre-digital and I'm not very computer savvy so getting them on here could be tricky! But somebody might recognise the description:
Shami was four when I sold her, and had just been backed. She was no more than 15hh and medium build with a very small amount of feather. She was mahogany bay, going quite dark in winter, with one white sock on her off hind which had black ermine spots around the coronet.
Her most distinguishing feature was a small white star in the shape of a zig-zag.
The lady who bought her turned up with her other horse in the trailer, a piebald cob gelding called Chess. She had been competing at Hickstead, I believe, when she saw the advert for my mare and decided to view her on a whim. She had a boyfriend/fiancee(?) called Adrian with her.
If any of this rings bells please get in touch as I would love to know how the mare is doing. I currently own her half brother who shares many of her characteristics.
