Due to the cold weather I imagine I will only have time to bath beastie pony once or twice before this season's first show. I really need to get him looking clean... he has a typical thick scurfy native coat, can anyone recommend a good shampoo? TBH I don't think Tesco tea tree will do the trick this time.

Supreme Blue shampoo is brilliant if you have a grey horse... Cowboy Magic Rosewater shampoo and IV Horse equine shampoo are both very good as well

I was recommended Tresemme (sp) ages ago. I washed my highlands filthy dirty not-been-washed-for-a-year tail with it last weeked and was completely amazed! Did a fantastic job!!

I like Champion Tails shampoo if we're talking horsey stuff. Wahl Dirty Beastie is very good too.

Second Wahl dirty beasty.

My mare is chestnut with white legs and I use their citrus shampoo on her body, and their one for white on her legs.

Tesco Value or ASDA smart price washing up liquid....

you've seen the piccies of my coloured, charlie....it really works!!!

Thanks guys, have a huge bottle of Tresemme (I bought a load on special offer) so will try that as I already have it
