Shar pei Insurance

Could anyone who has a shar pei tell me who they have insurance with please please?! Mine has gone up £10 a month!! I've tried online searches but alot don't insure shar pei's! Dunno why this is!!? Mine's never had any probs!

Have you tried More Than? Insuranc efor this breed is so expensive as they are so prone to a large number of problem. You are very lucky to have a healthy one. When i worked at the local vets i never saw one that didnt have eye problems or skin infections ect ect !!!!
 
I am lucky with my boy but he's only 3 at mo, still time i suppose!! Although i'm good friends with the breeder who has 3 and she's not had any eye or skin problems with hers so he must have come from good stock lol!!

tried more than, more expensive than what i have... Oh well may well have to resign to the fact he's more expensive to insure than the horses!!!?!!
 
You have been very lucky, or your breeder is very responsible! these dogs are usually a walking health warning..........hence the higher rate insurance.
Good luck, I always recommend PETPLAN, fab cover but not the cheapest......always check the small print, to make sure a condition is covered for life and not a stipulated period(usually 12 months)

When I got my bulldog puppy they wanted £ 80 per month because of the breeds disposition to skin probs etc and I would imagine yours is the same. They were right to be cautious though he has cost us around £ 3,000 in vets fees for skin problems as we thought the premiums to high for insurance.
