Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas that could help? I have had my own horse for the last 9 years, but recently had to sell him due to university. However, I have a seriously big horse shaped hole in my life-I miss riding and horsey time a huge amount.

Im looking onto the possibility of a share/giving any form of help in return for the occassional ride-Im really desperate! I just dont really know where to look? I am at uni in Cardiff so if anyone knew of anything going around there or any ideas on where to look? Would it be worth putting up an advert myself?

Thanks a lot for your ideas xxx

I found my mare through word of mouth so that's not much help to you, but I did find loaners for my gelding on Horsemart. It's worth having a look at the ads for horses for loan on there. There seem to be a fair few "share" ads on there too.

I currently ride at the Cardiff Riding School and there have been a few horses for loan/share advertised on their billboard and I think they're in the Cardiff area. Let me know if you're interested and I could get the details for you when I go there next week!

Thanks to both of you for your replies-Ill have a look on the websites! Charcoalfeathers-that sounds really promising! If you wouldnt mind looking that would be great! Also, what is the Cardiff Riding school like? Its quite near my halls which would be handy!
Thanks xxx

Definately go to your uni riding/equestrian club - we had everything from beginners lessons, to very good riders who went to the BUSA finals(and won!), polo, horseball etc
We subsidised lesson prices too... always good as a student!

I really like Cardiff Riding School, they have a wide range of horses and some are really forward going. I generally go for private lessons as I find group lessons slightly annoying as I don't feel like I'm getting quite as much out of it as I can. They grade everyone who take group lessons and I've noticed that some of the groups, particularly at weekends, can get really big!

I don't ride with the Cardiff Uni's Riding Club as I have lessons on Wednesdays, but if you wanna check out their website it's http://www.aooq66.dsl.pipex.com/Welcome.htm

I'll PM the horse loan details to you when I go for my lesson this week
