I have recently retired one of my racehorses, and don't want to sell as he has special needs (skin not soundness). I don't really have the time for him so looking for a sharer/someone who wants to go have fun on him. Advert would go something like this;

9yo 16.3hh TB gelding.
Ex racehorse who is 100% to hack alone or in company. Good hunter. Green in all other respects. Presently barefoot and looking to stay that way, contribution to shoes expected if it doesn't work out.
Looking for sharer who wants to ride at least a few times a week. Right person can do as much or little as he/she likes.
Horse will stay at present breaking/dealing/racehorse training yard and fit into present routine. Payment will be small weekly fee and/or helping round yard as and when.
Could suit older lady who just wants to hack, or ambitious teenager looking to gain experience. Willing to help out with transport if you want to school him up and compete.
If you wish to jump you must be very competent/confident and prepared for it not to happen overnight.
This horse will never be sold from under your feet, and the most I expect to do is hunt him several times a winter.

Do you think I would have many takers considering I am 10 miles from civilisation in any direction?
Was thinking £20 - £30 per week?
Opinions appreciated.

I reckon it sounds great! Although i always do to these sort of things lol. The bit where it says about weekly fee and/or jobs might be better worded as 'contribution £25 a week but negotiable if willing to help out around yard.' and then you could reduce/abolish the fee in relation to what jobs/how often they are willing to do them.

I think 30 is a bit much, but 25 is reasonable, 30 is quite high compared to a lot of share offers and there's lots out there to compete with.

I think so, 10 miles isn't that far to go especially if you don't have to go twice a day. If you struggle to find someone you could drop the financial contribution but sounds like they would get a pretty good deal having pretty much free rein and a few good perks too! I'd go for it, shame you aren't near me!

I have just altered it slightly as the things that I have taken out ( such as the shoe thinkg, the transport, jumping etc) you can tell them once you have hooked them!
