Never before on HHO have I read so many threads in one sitting that have brought me to tears: the loss of riders and the reactions of their horses, the mistreatment of horses... There is a lot of sadness in the world, and I love that people share so much here, be it good, bad or ugly.

However, to counteract some of the horrible things that life throws up, what's your good news, whether it be big or small, obvious or odd? Has your new neddy arrived, your beligerent beast behaved, your fave TV programme been recomissioned or you've have the best sleep in years? No matter what it is, let's raise a few smiles 80)

I'll start: I've passed my Weakest Link audition and will be taking part in an episode being filmed in March! Maybe if I win I can get my first horse! lol. Next?

Well done with the audition, not my cup of tea going up against Anne Robinson!!!! Good luck!!!

I know what you mean about depressing news, so here's my bit of good news!!

Been told today by my vet that I should be able to start ridden walk outs on my horse next week all going well!!! This is the horse who's been lame since may 2009!!! So I'm over joyed, just have to take it very very slowly, but will be so lovely just to be back on her back again!!!!... Can't wait!!!

Oooh how exciting about the weakest link!!! Best of luck!

My good news is that I get a payrise from work next week (woohoo!) which should enable me to do more comps and clinics with the beast. Also managed my first ride after work tonight for the first time since before winter. Was only a quick trot round the block but is a sign Spring's on it's way, only 8 weeks till the clocks go forward!

All I have left to move out my house and field in Kent is

2 Saddles and bridles

2x wheelbarrows

Some clothes

and 2 horses :D :D :D and then I live in West Sussex :D and I qualify as a midwife in 2 weeks eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek exciting stuff x

YO unlocked the school this morning after locking it due to weather conditions in November. I wasted no time - I was in there longlining my youngster at 8.30am. Ari went beautifully and I was happy!

My friend was on The Weakest Link a few weeks ago. Good luck when you're on!

My good news: my little TB has finished her course of antibiotics and bute, and is all happy and well again :D

I smiled at each and everyone - thank you! Glad you've all been enjoying your neddies, new access to facilities, new pay grades, finally moving out and so on! 80)

Fake Anne at auditions was hilarious - I've never so enjoyed being insulted. But I've been in the front row of a Frankie Boyle gig: if I can get picked on by the most offensive man in the land and laugh at it, Anne is but a pussy cat! lol.

Thanks all 80) And lots more good news welcome folks!

I got the little bit of extra flubber off my youngster and we are all set for a year of shows!

I got my lorry back, it had been having a newer chassis on it:D

Just needs a few odd bits then plating and taxing :D

Ankle is healing well so onwards and upwards

Good luck with the weakest link

I'm not currently in work as finished last week but....good news is that means I can ride more until something else comes along :)
My pony appears to be happy, healthy and sound.
Spring is not that far away, nor are the lighter evenings and warmer temperatures.
My mild bug I had has gone and overall I feel well :)

I had my first solo hack on Chico this morning. Got up and just decided today was the day. Tacked him up and off we went. Didnt go far and a bit spooky to begin with but settled well and overall a brilliant first solo hack :):D:D

I've just heard that I'm not being made redundant (at least not in the foreseeable future) :)

On thursday I had a jumping lesson on George and we managed a whole round without trotting which is def a first, and it felt great :D

All the horses are happy and healthy, business is good and lots of exciting things planned with and without the horses throughout the year.

went and did a bit of shopping for the pony :D with the pennies I earned looking after some ponies and my xmas vouchers and he now looks ready to rob a bank :p but the new head collar took 5 attempts to get on as it was going to eat him and he had to run round the field several times before coming close to me again  AND my instructor put some photos of the pony on fb with some lovley comments :D ohh and he jumped clear in his first show jumping we did the other day :D :D so we are going again next month too :D

I have fab news - my beautiful horse, who has been at the vets for the past 10 weeks with a fractured leg, finally came home today! :) :)

I also have fab news - after 14 months of on-off lameness, seizures, bute and box rest, my 17 y/o part loan mare has been diagnosed with Cushings.
She's been on meds for 3 weeks now, and in the past 3 days has turned herself out (!) had a real good kick about (the first time in 14 months we've seen her sound in trot) and was found the other day on the very top of the muck heap as though surveying her land!
Deff feeling better!!
Great news everyone
K x

I've had 2 weeks off work and have had a great time, first week at home, today have just driven back from Aberdeen having spent the week with my friend and her neddies. Off to collect mine from her working holiday tomorrow and really looking forwards to seeing her and cracking on!! Also have ANOTHER week off work, woo hoo. Probably should mention seeing OH tomorrow too, have missed him too he, he xx

well done on getting on, hope you have a fab day!
My good news - galloped horse today and he stopped so nicely and jumped some ditches too. Phew! Blew the cobwebs away.

I smiled at each and everyone - thank you! Glad you've all been enjoying your neddies, new access to facilities, new pay grades, finally moving out and so on! 80)

you MUST let us know exactly when and who you 'really' are, and much luck.

My good news is that I have lost weight ( god knows how), and new pony comes tomorrow
