One of my Facebook friends has posted that someone tried to steal her horse this evening and details have been given to the police.

I don't know much more detail apart from this.

Please be extra vigilant if you are in the Hailsham/ Ardingly area.

Happened to me years ago, only for the fact that we had a stray dog that insisted in sleeping in the stables, barked his brains off, and dad woke up and headed over with his shotgun, scared the crap out of them, and they ran off. Could have been terrible. You'd think in these times, people would have enough to do to feed their own horses, without stealing others. xx
