As our Shetland seems to have a new lease of life, and the vet is very clear that the key to keeping that life is exercise, I am thinking about finding her a little sharer to increase what we have time to do with her. It’ll be lead rein only as she’s back to her usual tricks off lead. Any recommendations for third party insurance for the parent? I want to be able to say, ‘You can go here and get this, it’s £x’.

I go with BHS Gold as I believe that it still provides the highest level of 3rd party cover at £30 million.

Is this the cover I need for riding other people’s horses?

BHS Gold membership covers you for any horse that you own or have permission to ride, as long as it’s purely for recreational purposes.
