I didnt want to pinch millians thread so heres my own.
My Daughter has been asked if she would like to share her horse, she is thinking at the moment, it will give her a bit of time to do more with getting our other youngster ridden away, so can you give me your experiences, is it a good thing to do with a green horse? also what would the costs be, and what should we ask, apart from obviously riding skills etc.
i am reliably told this person is very nice, we keep the horses at home so costs are minimum, as in no livery fees, just the rest. She is asking how much my daughter would charge, what is a fair amount. I think if she pays a sensible amount she may take the share more seriously, she has worked on a hunt yard and apparently can ride, it does concern me that my daughter has just recently got a cracking relationship with her horse now, she has only owned him for 6 months, and things were very difficult when he first arrived but now he is learning all sorts, and progressing well, should we really throw another rider into the equation?
She has said she wants to learn groundwork and loves mucking out etc so isnt just a rider. hmmm its difficult.
