Sharpening trimmer blades...

Is it possible? My clipper guy said he wasn't sure if they'd be able to sharpen bog standard wahl trimmer blades.. He took them in to be done but I was wondering if anyone else has had trimmer blades sharpened?

I know that th element trimmers have blades that are designed to be re-sharpened. i dont know about any others though - sorry

My Flair trimmers (don't know what brand they are though) say that they can be trimmed... don't see why not??

My dad resharpens mine!! Its handy that he has some weird tools sharpening qualification/liscnce thingy from his days in the Merchant Navy

Unfortunately he cant service clippers..............OH is an Electrical Engineer and ROV techniciam but dunni if I would trust him with clippers!!
