So I have spent the morning clipping Springy and she was a superstar!

Did pretty much all of her half chaser clip but she was getting a bit bored by the time we got to her head so have left that and going to try again this evening with a smaller, quieter set of clippers, just to neaten her off. She was good though and only got a little stroppy towards the end and with the help of my lovely assistant, stacks of carrots and the controller headcollar she was better than I had hoped.
So will finish her off and put some piccies up later or tomorrow, so proud of her

excellent well done Springy.
I always start off clipping on the shoulder for a few minutes so they know whats going on and then go to the head even on the awkward horses. 2 reasons, 1, the clippers are not scorching hot and 2, I find they are quieter as the bordom has not set in yet. Oh and a 3rd, for the difficult ones (around head), as the rest of the clip is less stressful and all finish off on a happy note (usually).
