shavings, can any recommend cheap quality shavings ?

hi the price of shavings in my area has shot up. wondered if anyone could recommend anyone, who delivers in the peterborough area, or delivers from whereever they are national.
would prefer shavings rather than sawdust style.

Horse on box rest with pedal bone rotation , so I'm going to be getting through some.

I think I'm going to switch to easibed this winter because it is pretty much the same as shavings only cheaper. I used it before when my horse was on box rest with laminitis years and years ago and I had a nice white bed. I found this link and I will be looking into these guys when I get round to ordering for winter:

Hi I'm not using shaving anymore due to the cost I'm now using Comfybed which is eco friendly and lovely to muck out

I am in Peterborough and use Lincs Forage for my shavings. They do Natural Flake, Bedmax and the Little Bedmax. Charge £10 for delivery to me. We order a pallet/2 pallets at a time. If you Google Lincs Forage, they have their own website. Currently paying £6.25 a bale for the natural flake shavings which are very good.

i use paper now! i get it for free from dunelm mill. A friend works there and they have bags of the stuff! they are only going to pee and pooh on it after all ;-) its far more absorbant than shavings! it goes into like a paper mashay that just comes out in a clump. feed merchants have started selling it now. Its about £6-£7 a bale and is shredded bank note paper.
