Does anybody know anything about Shaygate Riding School, Bradford?

When did it first go up for sale, is it still for sale?

Mainly out of curiosity :) Not sure whether i'd buy it or not - wouldn't run it as a business, just for myself so selfishly could have my horses at home, but it doesn't have a property on it so wondered if there's maybe a hiccup with getting planning for one or if there just isn't a house on it because of financial reasons?

I know someone who put in a really decent offer like ten grand off asking price and it was still refused. Been for sale for ages. Surprised no ones bought it for building on. Loads of better yards in area so stiff competition. I used to ride there, a bit shabby and not the best reputation but horses were always well rugged up and fed. Place needs **** loads of work. Make a nice private yard or livery only.

I think thats up the road - was thinking more of purchasing the place than needing livery. We're looking to move house anywhere between Manchester and West Yorkshire but we're being governed by where we can keep the horses.

Except Shay Gate doesn't have a property on it by the look of it and not sure I could afford to buy it and getting planning to throw up a pad :) Especially as I wouldn't be using it as a riding school or even livery :)

Wilsden equestrian down road is for sale much better and house? Think it's on rural scene or summat unless it's sold. Salter royd which is run by vicky walker just down road is a good lass, but the centre is hugge - a good neighbour to have. You are still a bit too close to the scatty side of Bradford that way too - straight up road it's not great, a lot of stolen cars get found burnt out round there. Feel awful saying that but true. Best of luck searching x

Don't feel bad saying that! If that's what its like thats what its like! :)

Just tempted as I wouldn't need to run it as a business to keep it - could just keep it for my two neds if I really wanted. No issues over too little grass or field rotation when its boggy in winter or any of that if you don't need to have liveries! (I am a livery, in case anybody wondered so I do know we like to have a mule about stuff!)
