So it takes me forever to find the perfect horse. Vet loved her lots and she blooming well failed trotting on a circle on hard ground.

Well she is so nice I am going to keep in touch with her owner and try again in 2 weeks as she has been shod recently.

That's a shame, but worth vetting again if you like her so much, just try not to get your hopes up too much. Will you be using the same vet?

I'd be the same, my friend has had a horse on reserve since November, it has now failed 3 vettings on different things! Abcess in its hoof, then it lost a shoe the day before and now the vet is saying its a tiny bit lame behind, something like 0.5/10, not sure what she's going to do now.

Feel for you. I had virtually the same and felt so upset.

I arranged to have her re-vetted a few weeks later too as everyone was so surprised, but it never happened, not quite sure why but the owner backed out, suspect she found another buyer who didn't need a vetting. Anyway it worked out for the best as 9 months later I found my gorgeous mare for half the money!

Of course, you can always buy the horse anyway if you like it and can take a chance? I've only ever had one horse vetted, and guess what? It's the only horse I've ever had that has gone permanently wrong.

It passed the vetting with flying colors, BTW

I believe vetting's are only valid for 24 hours anyway.

I too have known horses go severely wrong after passing a 5 stage vetting with flying colours! If you like her buy her anyway, maybe put in a lower offer as she failed her vetting, but don't automatically discount her.
