and i cant really understand why, i did what i usually do on this hack where i canter over the bridle path and then trot the rest of the route, but a quarter of the way on the hack i noticed she had really sweated up (i mean like she had just finished the Grand National) the sweat just came on very quickly, so i got off her and walked her round for a bit, and i noticed her bum was quivering, i walked most of the way back home on foot, and she got a lot better the sweat dried up, any ideas what could have happend, has anything like this happend to you ??

PS: It wasnt really warmer than any other day

it could have been humid-my boy sweats up even when he is really fit just because he gets exited. It doesnt seem anything to worry about to me, if it continues then there may be some cause for concern, but it was probably a one off. It could have been a number of things-dont worry!

sounds like anticipation to me. If you take the same route and always canter in the same spot you're asking for trouble.
Providing her temps etc were okay after she'd stopped sweating, I'd make sure I only walked her on hacks for a few weeks, or tried a different route.

This sounds like a classis case of Azortoria or Monday Morning desease. Comes on usually 1/2 hour into ride and effects fit horses more than unfit. Severe cases can cause muscle damage. Is she kept stabled a lot? If she is then you will have to alter what you feed and cut out all protein.

The name Monday Morning desease came from the old farming days with plough horses where they always used to have Sunday off but still be fed the same amount of grain with no exercise come Monday Morning the horses would start to plough and then tie up due to excess of protein in the system.

If it happens again then stop and let her graze until all signs are gone or it could be a question of calling vet and boxing home.
