Not sure if this is better here or in vet.

As title, my horse is tending towards a shear mouth one side. Dentist said its not quite bad enough to be called shear mouth if that makes sense (as not quite steep enough angles), and over the 6 monthly visits it has started to get better so he is hoping she will get to a normal eating pattern again.

However, I can find very little information online about it, all websites seem to have a short 2 sentence explanation and that's it - which is a little concerning when it says it could be fatal! She is in good condition (too good really!) so I cant imagine she will starve to death.

FATAL? The vet told me several years ago that my horse has a "shear mouth" and that he would need his teeth checking every spring and autumn, and to keep an eye on how he was eating his hay, but that was all he said! The horse in question has never had any problems with eating anything (including a spider which fell into his manger) so I too would be interested to see what replies come up on here.
