My yearling gelding has always been a little dirty around his private parts and I have to quite often pull bits off straw from his sheath. He's use to me doing it so handling him there isn't a problem. Yeserday I noticed quite a bit off black mess stuck inside his hind legs on both sides so washed him down and pulled out some mess just inside his sheath. Today it's back again so will have a good clean up again tonight. All I can think off is a infection? But no swelling at all and don't mind you cleaning etc will actually lift a leg to make it easier. Has anybody had the same problem?
