Sheila Chapman - pony book author 1950s and 1960s

Does anyone know anything about this author? I'm putting together something on the website, and haven't been able to trace much biographical information about her at all.

All I know for certain is that she wrote 4 pony books (A Pony and His Partner, Pony from Fire, The Mystery Pony and Ride for Freedom), all when she was very young. She lived in Somerton in Somerset, and was a member of the Blackmore Vale Pony Club.

I have a dim memory of reading somewhere that she became an MFH. What her married name was, or even if she married, I do not know.

Could that be the mother of Lyn Chapman that runs Rockhampton EC? (nr Glos) Sorry if its two different people with the same name! I also have a non horsey neighbour called Shiela Chapman
