"shelf life" of haylage?

How will long haylage last unopened? I have a few unopened bags but now there is lots of yummy grass my boy is just leaving any I put in shelter for him so not seeing the point of opening it up, putting it and then throwing it away 4 days later.

Will the unopened ones be OK until winter?

Yep they should be fine - we're using haylage from last summer so can't see it being an issue as long as they're not burst.

Yep. I've had some left over one spring that I've left until the next winter and it was fine

Try to keep it out of the direct sun if you can as the heat of the sun can reduce the longevity of the plastic wrap.
