Was anyone there this weekend? I wasn't competing but a friend was in the 100 and the SJ was so so tricky! We didn't see any clears and my friend had a very out of character fall due (jockey error), but speaking to others in the lorry park, they also thought the SJ was a little over complicated for BE...

i was... i did my first 100 there... yeah the sj was tough, very twisty and tight IMO we had our worst round with 6 down :( im kind of glad it caused carnage tbh at least it wasnt just me being useless!!

Aw that's a shame with it being your first 100 too.... though the XC was a nice one wasn't it?

My friend, who normally sails round the 100's with her very consistent horse crashed through number 3 of the SJ course, it was a real shame as due to bad luck with the timing she never got chance to walk the course. I think if she did, she'd have realized how tight the turn was so to stick closer to the fence line! it was a real shame :(

Yeah i chose it as i was told it was nice and inviting with the SJ on the smaller side!! It's ok though i know we need to work on our SJ so im sure it will get there eventually! The XC course was lovely my lad absolutely sailed round :D

such a shame for your friend, the turn to 3 was horrible, somehow it was one of the fences we actually left up, but i did find the course very twisty and turny in a fairly small arena, the fences came up thick and fast!

Aw good - so glad you sailed the XC! I thought the fences in the SJ were small, but it was just how twisty it was and the distances didn't look like the rode particularly well either... I think it'd be much easier on a smaller horse/pony.

Some of the rounds we watched, the horses looked very established and even they struggled with it. Real shame as my friend really was looking forward to jumping the XC round there.

I guess it's given is all something new to practice! :D
