Some of you may have seen my previous thread about my JRT with a prolapsed disc. She went to the animal hospital on Tuesday and the MRI showed three severe protrusions into her spinal cord. She went in for her op on Wednesday and is allowed home today :-D she is doing much better than any of us expected and is attempting to stand 48 hours after surgery which shows she is gaining feeling in her back legs (she had minimal pain response before surgery and went from walking to not in 24 hours) we are sooo pleased she is doing so well and she will now begin her physio :-D

I must say I'm very nervous! Iv got her cage ready etc but she is such a lively dog, she's going to have to keep a lid on it!! There is the risk of further protrusion and I can't go through this again!

for a small dog raising the cage to coffee table height combined with a cover over the top half can reduce the dog's propensity to bounce.

She is now home and is happily asleep in her cage. She has to have her physio 3 times a day and encouraged to walk on grass to. She has a possible urine infection so she has to go in on Monday for a urine test but if she doesn't go in the next 12 hours then we are to call them.
