Ohhh, Last night brouhgt Pippa in and was combing her mane, and the part just above from the withers just came out with the comb!
She now has a thick bit at the top, a bald patch, and then another thick bit at the bottom, we also have a showing comp soon.
What should I do? Just plait what I have a gel the rest?
Does anyone have any pictures of their 'plaited but rubbed mane'?
Thankyou

Hi - there was a very recent post on this in the Comp Riders section. I think the general consensus was plait what you've got and gel the rest down! My mare's mane rubs out every year and this is what I do with it!! xx

Hiya! I have an appy so her mane always looks appalling!

I basically comb it all through, then section it all off, then i gel the part im going to plait down, then plait it as usual, I usually put a fair dollop on to keep it all in place!! I find that it stays in better with bands, I know sewing them in is better, but hers look much neater with bands!!
I also usually spray some hair spray on aswell! And always do it the day of the show!
Hope that helps!!

On the plus side at least hers will grow back! My Appy's never seems to grow!!
