shetland and trailer

hi,i have a mini shetland he is 8h,and i would like to take him to our local show that has showing classes for shetlands,my friend has offerd to take him with her pony she has a ifor williams 505 hunter trailer,hqw would we tie him

Someone may have a better solution but How about stacking a couple of bales of straw in the nose cone of the trailer to act as a 'breast bar' and just use a piece of baler twice attached through the loop that the breast bar would usually slot into to tie him up.. in fact you could always cross-tie him, attatching him to the partition side as well...

yes we habe travelled a little oone - placing a bale at the breast bar to stop her ducking undcer then cross tieling her to the breat bar fittings!

yep, we cross tie our mini shetland x fallabella. Works just fine! The lorry is a bit more of an issue!
 
We cross tie our shetland works just fine for him. We tried the straw bale thing and he just tried to clamber all over them so not a good plan
