what do people use ? at the mo the cub saddle my niece rides in has a little handle on the front which is very useful and she needs at this stage. the saddle is the old type where the synethetic comes apart from the foam, but looking at some pics of her jumping (in PG) i can see its lifting up at the back alot so i dont think it fits very well anymore, i will talk to his owner first obviously but what do other people use/recommend?? something with a handle on the front and inexpensive would be ideal, and that is robust enough for popping some little jumps. He has got a show saddle but thats not suitable for everyday use.

I have always used an ordinary saddle with a strap attached to the dees!

my shettie had a cub saddle now i have a tiny griffin ponyone with extra small flaps and bought a strap from dh to do on the front

I have a cub saddle from horseweb-uk.com. It was only £29.95, is treeless so fits most ponies and has a handle at the front too. It fits my 13.2hh mare fine and is brilliant for my 3 year old daughter, as it fits her just right too. It is synthetic but looks and feels really nice. Easy to clean too!
