frist of all what are they??
i have googled and being told different things !!
and are they fix able? if so how??
reason i ask is my little tb who i brought in July was trained to race but never made the track, a girl who use to work on a large competition yard where he came from (not raced there but they started his re-schooling)
says he had shin splits
he often goes foot shoe when farrier pays us a visit (on hoof supplement to try and improve hoof) but the yard manager checked up on him yesterday and text me saying she could feel small shin splits!
he has never been lame in the small time i have owned him and by no means are we doing hard work, 30 min hack once a week lunged twice a week for 20 mins / 30 mins in walk and trot only!!
then one 30 mins lesson with my instructor and we have not done any more then walk and trot either!!
so can some kind soul explain to me and try and help me figure out if it is some thing i should be worried about??
i don't really want to call the vet if it is not some thing i need to!
