Shire Velociti RAPIDA Grackle Fit?

I've bought my mare a grackle bridle and I'm abit unsure on how to fit it.

Doing some reading it says it should sit below the cheek bone but on the photos I can find of it, it seems to sit just above/on the cheek bone.

Can any one advise?

The stock photo isn't great as the strap shouldn't be on the bone.

I *think I bought this once and had trouble fitting it correctly. It just didnt seem right and was weirdly impossible to get right. I think i sent it back or sold it and got a Henry James instead. I think its just a funny shape, or possibly just didnt suit/fit my particular horses head.

Thank you - I will probably send it back as it just doesn't look right if I fit it higher or lower. Wasn't sure if it was just me having issues.

Its a shame because they are potentially nice but there is something a bit odd about them! I think the angles are off between the cheek and upper bit of noseband if that makes sence so if you put it all lower the whole thing is out of place
