I was looking through Rideaway catalogue last night, and looking at travel boots - now my 2 have the Mark Todd ones, which I love, but OH's mare has been wearing my bigger mares' boots, which are full size, and they aren't really big enough. I like to put jumping boots etc on at home and travel boots over the top, and this just isn't an option on her at the moment, the velcro would then hardly do up!
The Shires ones come in pony cob full and hunter - and look very like the MT ones - anyone got them? Any good? Is hunter a decent size? She is only 16.3 but in XL brushing boots - she's at least 3/4, if not 7/8 ID and has masses of bone.

I had a pair of these a few years ago, the binding came of quite quickly, to be honest I'd stick to the mark todd ones which I have now, they've been brilliant and are only torn slightly from the paniccy mare, because her excesive sweating has shrunk the linning

If fit is a problem, there are quite a few travel boots that come in xl sizes, can't name any though, someone else will be able to

I've got these for my 17hh IDxTB. I've had them for 3 yrs now and they are still good as new. I regularly use them about two times a week and wash them, so they've done me well. I've not had any binding come apart.

I think I've got the large. There is loads of room but then he is only a medium in front and a large behind in most brushing or tendon boots.

So, two differing opinions !!

I've got them in pink check! This is the only reason I bought them as I couldn't get the Mark Todd ones in pink.
They are virtually identical to the Mark Todd ones, reinforced at the bottom with sturdy wide velcro fastenings. They are quite stiff and need to mould a bit more but I am sure they will do this with a bit more wear.
I bought cob size because my mare has quite slender legs (unlike me

I can still get brushing boots underneath no problems so I think they are spot on in terms of size.
I'm happy so far
