Help!

All my competition wear is second hand or hand-me-downs from friends and family. I hardly ever go anywhere so haven't bothered to buy anything nice.

However, it looks like I'll be doing a bit of local dressage this year. I saw a piccie the show photographer took at our first comp last weekend - my share horse looked a picture but I was...er...rather letting the side down.

So I'm going to buy some new things, with the aim being to get a new item each time my percentage improves, as a bit of fun inspiration.

To start with I really need a shirt or tech top that actually fits me. I'm 5'4'' so quite short to start with, and have a short body in proportion to my legs. Where can I get something that isn't mid thigh length?!

Also, I'm a size 8 and find lots of equestrian tops / blouses etc that I've tried on come up huge. I know they make them roomy so they aren't restrictive, but there is enough extra fabric to ruin the line of my (borrowed) jacket.

Any ideas?

hey. i use a pikeur stock shirt.
i really love the fabric as it lets your skin breathe!! its not that expensive either. its just plain.
I find it quite short (I have a short body too) and the fabric is quite slinky so it wont spoil the jacket. soft enough for tucking into breeches too!!
I hope that helps. Good luck!!

Hi

I'm a UK4 but also really tall so struggle to find anything small and long enough!! Pikeur and Cavallo do really good proportions - they are pricey though, but quality and fit makes it worth it.

I know of a good show jacket that sounds like it would fit you well, it's the one that I have - Pikeur Scarlett jacket. You can find them on ebay, wachine washable and everything. They're shorter cut than 99% of jackets, so the length would probs suit you very well.
