Shivering mare?

Now I am not one to over rug my mare. I know it's been minus temperatures but she has a woolly coat, unclipped and a 200g turnout. She is a far from slim arab. When I took her rug off earlier she was shaking! She looked fine in the field and only shivered when I took her rug off. What's going on?

just the blast of cold air like we feel when get out of bed in morning and run for loo - watch her watch her weight etc and monitor as much as poss

It only worried me because she has never done it before, even when we had all that cold weather in January. The rugs going to have to come off to ride so I'll keep an eye on how she is then.
