Did try the orthoflex ones but didn't like them at all. Lots of endurance people use them, but if you put your weight in your stirrups, they "give" about an inch, which I found weird.

I have the sprenger ones on my jumping saddle and I love them. They made my ankles ache for the first couple of days but now riding short with normal stirrups feels awful. Definately recommend!!

I have some cheapie ones but they're still really comfy, I definaltey reccommend them. They stop my knees aching if Ive been riding all day.

I have the Shire ones and love them, can't ride without them. Friend has sprenger ones and she loves them to bits also can't ride without them- def reccomend them very good if you get achy ankles/knees.

I've got the William Funnell one and there fantastic. I used to get really achy ankles after a bad fall once and they've totally stopped that now. And i dont ache at all if i ride for long periods of time. Def recommend getting some I couldn't ride without them now!

I've not tried the rubber sided ones. But I have tried the ones that hinge at the bottom and they are AWFUL! They tilt, so you're doing rising trot and as you come up, the stirrup tilts forward suddenly taking you with it! OK for hacking in walk only but not for schooling!

Actually now I think about it I HAVE ridden on the rubber sided ones and they were nice - just not the hinged type.
