Just read this:

What do you think? Do shock absorbing stirrups make a difference to the impact on a horses back?
Will there be an noticeable difference if jumping impressive heights regularly, like the pro's do, but not worth it for the average horse?
It also makes me think of the research showing that treeless saddles often caused sores under the stirrup bars. Would this type of stirrup help?
