i used to like coming on here and asking advice and reading posts and threads other people's questions and suggestions but to be honest i don't think i will be coming back some of you are just plane horrible, people put up questions or comments and are shot down or just abused and told they are cruel i understand everyone has opinions but come on can we not be constructive some posts are just meant to hurt and bully people. most people do what they believe is right for them and different things work for different people and horses can we not just except this. some people must get really upset being told in no uncertain terms that they are being cruel to there family pet that they love everyone has there own opinion on what is cruel and unnecessary but predominantly its opinions if you dont agree with someones ideas either ignore it or be constructive, polite and sensitive you can still say your Peace. i mean being told you are evil for using a flash or stupid for using black tack. or wrong and stupid for miss match accessories come on i mean REALLY in the real world with all the beating and abuse people don't need this utter rubbish sorry for rant but it is all true and i personally think it needs to change
 
Some of what you have said is true, people do think they know everything from behind a computer screen, and you do feel you get a lot of stick from being 'wrong'. BUT, I did find your post really hard to read, so only skipped through it.
Sadly life is tough, and often learning is a steep climb. Horse people are often abrupt and speak their minds, some of which you have to take with a pinch of salt, a sigh or totally ignore it.
 
Don't take it so personally, some people have nothing better to do than be mean!! It is especially easier on forums as it is essentially anonymous and people don't have to say it to people's faces. Just ignore the negative comments; if you get upset or leave then they have won!
 
i could not give a hoot as dont really get involved in the heated threads not worth the hassle as if you agree you wrong if you dont agree you wrong i just dont see how its necessary to tell people they are cruel and mean blah blah i just had to rant as sick of seeing these silly comments will get stick for it but carry on I'm sure there are all perfect in every way and never have issues or problems and there horses are so good in every way all down to them of course what that would be like ay (sorry sarcasm alert)
 
I am more than happy to say to ones face what I am happy to say 'behind' the keyboard. I am uttely honest, even when I am wrong.
 
I reckon horse people are abrupt because they're usually knackered, short of time and usually in some kind of permanant low level pain. Also, if someone feels a horse is being ill used due to ignorance or just through callousness/carelessness it's hard to keep cool about it.

If someone decided to rip me a new one because our horses have black tack instead of brown I'd really struggle to lose any sleep over it but if someone pointed out a welfare issue that I had missed I might give it a second thought which might help my horses in the long run.
